I am so proud of my husband! He passed his state electrical licensing test yesterday! 🥳

I still remember when he first played around with the idea of going to school for it but didn’t want to take the temporary pay cut. I asked him, “In four years, will you make more by staying at your job or by finishing school?” He said, “Not even close.” I told him, “Then go to school, make the sacrifice, I got you.” The U.S. needs 1 less of the 80,000 electricians annually for the next 10 years.

He is the reason my heart stays fully charged to face life, and I’ll always do whatever it takes to support his growth. I Thank God for him.❤️

Marriage isn’t always 50/50. Sometimes you have to lighten the load for your better half so they can better themselves for your family. Some seasons feel light as a feather, others heavy as a bull, but through it all, you’re building something better together.

We both work hard for our family, he just gets dirty, and I handle the paperwork. 😉 Next up: graduation next year! 👨🏽‍🎓

Yesterday’s Greater Louisville REALTORS® Annual Meeting was definitely one for the books. It was a pretty heated meeting, and to be honest, I left upset, as my daughter was in the hospital, and the vote I came to cast didn’t quite happen as intended.

But in the midst of it all, I was deeply humbled and honored to receive the Fair Housing Champion Award. 🏡✨ Thank you to GLAR for this recognition and for continuing to keep Fair Housing at the forefront of our industry.

Fair housing isn’t just a talking point or professional checkbox for me, it’s a personal and professional commitment. I will always stand for what is right, just, and fair, both in business and in life. And thank you to those who continue to fight the good fight alongside me. Even in difficult moments, I’m reminded that we have the power to make real change and create a better, more equitable future for all.

A huge congratulations to all the award recipients and years of service honorees, your dedication and contributions continue to strengthen our REALTOR® community!

Yesterday was such a blessing, I got to see most of my family & extended family all in one place at my cousin’s baby shower. It’s rare that we all gather together unless it’s for something sad, like a funeral, because life keeps us all so busy. But this year has been different, we’ve been blessed to come together for a wedding and now a beautiful baby shower. My heart is full ♥️

Life is so fragile, you can be here today and gone today. Cherish every moment with your loved ones. Showing up is the minimum; be present in the moments, smile for the pictures, and hold tight to the memories long after time and people have passed.

Congratulations again to my cousin Lamont and Mikayla! You two have such a beautiful family, and we can’t wait to meet baby Ivy. 💕

✨ Wednesday was a full day of back-to-back events!

I started at the Louisville Business First Forty Under 40 Honoree Reception at the Louisville Thoroughbred Society, where I had the chance to connect and congratulate this year’s recipients. It’s always inspiring to see leaders recognized not just for their professional success, but also for the impact they’re making in the community they serve.

From there, I headed to the Greater Louisville Leadership Institute Alumni Mixer. We welcomed the soon-to-be graduates of this year’s class along with alumni from past years. No matter if it’s GLAR Leadership or KYR Leadership, everyone swears their class is the “best class ever.” This class is especially remarkable, despite the challenges they’ve faced, they stayed the course, and I cannot wait to watch their leadership journeys unfold.

The greatest gift of GLAR & KYR Leadership isn’t just the rooms you get into, the trips you take, or the advocacy you learn about behind the scenes. It’s the people you meet, the connections you make, and the lifelong relationships that come from it.

I am beyond grateful 🫶🏾 Congratulations to all of the leaders of 2025! 🎉

This week I had the honor of attending the Kentucky Realtors Annual Convention while also serving on the Convention Committee. It was such a full experience, reconnecting with my leadership classmates, diving into learning sessions, joining caucus meetings, celebrating achievements, and closing it all out at the installation dinner for our 2026 Kentucky Realtors President, Ms. Ann Elizabeth Delahanty, and the incoming officers.

I’m beyond excited for the future of our industry with such dedicated leaders at the helm. Their passion for advocacy and commitment to our communities is truly inspiring. The best way to see where we’re going is to be in the KYR (car). After such a rewarding week, I’m still catching my breath but so grateful for it all!

Saturday wore me out, but I think I’ve finally recovered 😂.

hosted its 4th Annual Career Fair, and the youth did not disappoint. They showed up, asked amazing questions, and shared their big goals and dreams. 💡✨

Afterwards, we basically showered, changed, and regrouped at owner Jack’s stunning home as he and his wife hosted the annual real estate kickback for and his wife. 🏡🔥

I got to reconnect with folks I hadn’t seen in forever, laugh a little too hard, and just enjoy a safe, fun evening.

Not gonna lie, it always feels daunting to get ready for these events (because it’s way off my normal schedule 😅). But without fail, my soul is always glad I showed up. 💙

Already looking forward to keeping this tradition alive next year!

✨Honoring the Life, Legacy & Impact of Clifford H. Turner ✨

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the homegoing service of Mr. Clifford H. Turner, a man who’s life was a testimony to faith, vision, and perseverance. His legacy was honored with the presence of the NAREB National President, past NAREB Presidents, and a past NAACP President. Their attendance was a reflection of the lasting imprint he made across industries, communities, and generations.

Mr. Turner’s journey was one of purposeful impact:
• 1978: Served as Chairman of the Property Management Division of NAR.
• 1986: Became President of the NAACP in Louisville, standing firmly on the platform of Economic Empowerment and getting the historic Fair Share Agreement signed.
• 1988: Founded Land Development Services, Inc. and Turner Realty & Management, Inc.
• 1989: Renovated a vacant school into Shawnee Gardens Apartment Ltd.
• 1998: Developed Shawnee Gardens Apartment Phase II in partnership with Microsoft, earning the 1999 HUD Best Practice Award.
• 2005: Opened Stephen Foster Senior Apartments.
• 2005–2007: Served as the 24th President of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB).

Mr. Turner was a hard worker, a servant leader, and a man always prepared to do the work. He lived out the principle: “Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.”
His works truly speak for themselves, from advocacy and housing development to leadership that transformed organizations and opened doors for countless others.

As we remembered his life, we were reminded that something better is waiting for us. Mr. Turner’s legacy is proof that when a life is lived with faith and purpose, the impact will echo long after.

Rest well, Mr. Turner. Your works speak loudly. 🙏🏽

If you missed the GLAR Open House yesterday, you missed an incredible event!

Huge thanks to the GLAR staff, CEO, President, Member Engagement Committee, affiliates, and sponsors for creating such a great day of connection and community.

I enjoyed every bit of it, from a “big ass burrito” from the food truck, a bourbon-based cocktail from .luxecartco , to a much-needed chair massage. But the real highlight was the room full of familiar, friendly faces and the wealth of information shared by our affiliates, partners, and committees.

Each table offered something valuable; healthy options, services, promo materials, upcoming events, meeting details, and of course, raffle prizes. 🎉

Even after 11 years in this business and being so involved with GLAR, I’d say this was one of the best events for connection and member engagement (second only to the holiday party!). It’s the perfect way to learn what GLAR offers and how members can get involved.

I truly hope this becomes a regular tradition. I’ll definitely be looking forward to the next one! I had such a good time, I didn’t get any pics there 😩

Oh, and bonus… I won a prize from First American Home Warranty ♥️ thanks Kelly!
