I’ve also had the privilege of serving as President of the Southern Indiana REALTORS® Association, along with leadership roles including RPAC fundraising, Vice Chair of the Young Professionals Network, and service on both the Grievance and Professional Standards Committees. Property Tax Announcement for Veterans and Surviving Spouses

The Indiana Veteran Property Tax Reform Act of 2026 has passed, and it brings major changes to property tax benefits. Even if you're already receiving a deduction, you must re-file to keep your benefits.

What’s Changing?
• ✅ No more caps: The $240,000 property value limit is GONE.
• ✅ 100% Exemption: Available for veterans with a 100% disability rating or Individual Unemployability.
• ✅ New Credits: Additional credits may be available for veterans over 62, those with a service related disability, or those with wartime service.

Important Dates:
• 🗓️ July 1st: Earliest date to start re-filing.
• 🗓️ Dec 30th, 2026: Deadline to file State Form 51186.

Need Help? Contact your local County Veterans Service Office (CVSO) or visit www.in.gov/dva to find your local officer.
