My little rattan chair happy place. Finding these two babies for the price I did was a little like finding your favorite jeans on sale for 90% off. The hunt for the look I wanted but the price point I had was fun and also sometimes super frustrating. In this Pinterest and Instagram world it's so easy to research design ideas and then get bummed because it always seems I like the pictures with an unlimited budget$$.
Does anyone else have that problem with social media? Everyone is putting out their very best and it's hard not to compare or want what others have sometimes. What I am learning in this design process and in business in general is that there are no rules and every journey and decision is unique. Our story is our story and my design decisions are mine and I get to own them! Own your story and your journey and don't let social media fool you into thinking you aren't good enough or haven't done enough. OK that's it for my little soap box speech. Have an awesome day!!

Decorating the bedrooms for our Airbnbs is one of my favorite parts but also one of the more difficult. Coordinating the right bedding with the right accessories and then filling the walls and making it feel cozy seems a little daunting when I look at a blank canvas, but there is a big satisfaction when I get the desired results. This room is one of my favorites. We built those hanging lights using pendants from Hobby Lobby and then my contractor built the wall attachments with leftover 1x2 boards. Super easy and then NO CORDS YAY!! When you turn the overhead light out and just use the lamps this room has a romantic and cozy vibe that I just love.
