We were inspired, humbled, and grateful for the opportunity to participate in the 2026 Southern Maine Golf Tournament at Lake Kezar Country Club in Lovell! Becky Colannino, NERG Designated Broker, served on the planning committee and volunteered at the event, while AFM was represented on the course by John Colannino, Matt Jacobs, Rusty Brann, and Oren Shaw. With 38 teams, 30 sponsors, and 20+ volunteers, the tournament raised an incredible $55,407 for MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital! American Forest Management was proud to be a lead sponsor and part of Maine’s logging and forestry community coming together to support such a great cause. 🌲⛳

Inspired. Awed. Humbled. Grateful.

Those words sum up Friday and our opportunity to participate in the 2026 Southern Maine Golf Tournament at Lake Kezar Country Club in Lovell, Maine, benefiting MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. Becky Colannino, NERG Designated Broker, served on this year’s planning committee and spent the day volunteering, while American Forest Management was represented on the course by John Colannino, Real Estate Broker; Matt Jacobs, Northeast Region Manager; Rusty Brann, Family Forester; and Oren Shaw, Forester.

With 38 teams, 30 sponsors, and more than 20 dedicated volunteers, this year’s tournament raised an incredible $55,407 — surpassing last year’s total by $520!

American Forest Management was proud to be a lead sponsor of this special event. Even more meaningful, every dollar raised goes directly to support MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.

It was inspiring to see Maine’s logging and forestry community come out in full force for such an important cause. We are grateful to the organizers, sponsors, volunteers, golfers, and everyone who helped make this year’s tournament such a success.

Help Maine's wild turkey population thrive! 🦃

During the month of August, keep an eye out for wild turkeys and report your observations. Note the number of turkeys, how many are young (poults), the date, and the town where you spotted them.

Your observations help Maine biologists monitor turkey reproduction and make informed wildlife management decisions.
