Mortgage rates dipped below 6.20% for the first time in over a year ahead of next week’s Federal Reserve meeting, which is expected to deliver the year’s third rate cut. The average 30-year fixed rate fell to 6.19% from 6.23% last week, compared with 6.69% during the same week in 2024.
