Ready said in a phone call Wednesday afternoon he was “deeply saddened” by the election loss, but he congratulated Cassella on her victory.

“She obviously did a great job, and she won,” said Ready. “Hopefully some of the ideas I have put forward can be implemented by Karen over the next six years.”

Ready sold his company, Ready Real Estate, when he began his run for register. Now he said he will go back to real estate sales and development, and continue working with Century 21.

Ready narrowly took Westford over Chau, and also benefitted from the most lopsided result of the race in his hometown of Chelmsford, taking just over half of the 4,530 votes cast in that race, with Chau and Cassella almost evenly splitting the other half.

⭐️ Congratulations to Elect Karen Cassella for Register of Deeds on winning the Democratic nomination for Register of Deeds. ⭐️

While I am deeply saddened by the outcome of this race, I am proud of the vision I presented to enhance our registry of deeds and serve our residents. I truly hope that my ideas will be embraced over the next six years, benefiting our community as a whole.

A heartfelt thank you to my incredible volunteers, the residents of all 10 communities who supported me, and especially to the voters of Chelmsford for their outstanding encouragement and amazing show of support! I am immensely grateful to all my family, my children, my wife, Amy and my mother, Donna for their unwavering support and for putting everything on hold during the past 9 months of this campaign.

As I transition back to my full time career in residential real estate and the Ready Team C21 Your Way, I look forward to staying engaged in our community efforts and continuing to work towards making Greater Lowell a better place for everyone. Thank you all for your support, and I hope to see you around! 💙🏡

Thank you Teddy! It’s Election Day! Get out and vote! I kindly ask you for your vote.

Making the rounds early this morning to catch up with candidates in the local races. Early reports from normally high turnout polling locations indicate more sign holders than voters, as was the case at the Daley School in the Highlands. Hopefully that changes, and expectations are that 5,000 or so mail-in votes will have been cast in Lowell.

Voting has begun. Please come out and vote! 🗳️

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Barry Finegold for his endorsement.

Inside Lowell

Middlesex North Register of Deeds candidate, Joe Ready, this week received a nod from State Senator Barry Finegold, who represents the Second Essex & Middlesex County.

“As a Massachusetts State Senator and an attorney by profession who has specialized in real estate conveyancing, I understand the critical expertise, vision, and management experience required for this vital role,” Finegold wrote in a statement released by the Ready campaign. “I have no doubt that Joe is uniquely qualified to build upon the exceptional work of Richard Howe, Jr., and to further enhance the Northern Middlesex Registry of Deeds for the benefit of our community.”

With the Massachusetts Primary now just days away, the candidates in our local races are making one last push to win over the voters and get them to the polls. And their supporters are doing the same, offering up some last minute endorsements to help make it happen. Middlesex North…

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to Chanrithy “Rithy” Uong for his 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙀𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 in my campaign for Register of Deeds. 🙏

Rithy is not just a community leader; he’s a dedicated grassroots organizer who has made a profound impact in our community. As a former guidance counselor, he has a unique ability to mentor and uplift those around him. He listens attentively, encourages thoughtful dialogue, and works tirelessly to foster consensus among residents from all walks of life.

His unwavering commitment to advocating for fair and free elections has made him a true civic hero in our community. Rithy's infectious smile and charismatic spirit resonate with everyone he meets, inspiring us all to strive for a better future.

It's worth noting that in 1999, Rithy made history as the first American of Southeast Asian descent to be elected to public office in the United States. His legacy continues to inspire us to dream bigger and work harder.

Together, we’re Ready to build an accessible, responsive, and secure registry.

A heartfelt thank you to the The Sun News for featuring this article and to the wonderful residents of Lowell who have welcomed me with open arms during this campaign. I truly believe that Lowell and its surrounding communities are exceptional, and regardless of the election outcome, I am committed to continuing my support for our city and its neighborhoods. There’s a lot to like about Lowell.

I am especially grateful for the kindness and endorsement from the individual Ward Chairs of the Lowell Democratic City Committee that endorsed me and to Jim and Vicki Tsongas Peters. Your support and encouragement means the world to me.

I would be absolutely thrilled to serve as your next Register of Deeds for Middlesex North. Together, we’re Ready to build an accessible, responsive and secure registry. 💙
