🔥 Test your heater: Turn it on for 15–20 minutes before the cold arrives. You may notice a burning smell or hear your smoke detectors go off as dust burns off. However, if you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately.

🚿 Disconnect outdoor hoses and make sure your spigots are turned off.

🪑 Bring in or secure outdoor items like patio furniture, grills, and planters.

🌬️ Keep vents and air returns clear of furniture, curtains, and other items.
