Happy 7th birthday, Laken! I'll admit it, when we found out you were on the way, the first thing out of my mouth was 'I have to get my sh*t together.' Seven years later, being your dad is one of the clearest pictures of God's kindness I've been given. You're smart, you're funny, and you're incredibly considerate of the people around you. You've shown me a lot of grace and taught me to look for the good in others and in myself. I can't believe you're seven. I'm so thankful I've gotten to call you my daughter every one of those years. I love you to the moon and back.
