After this storm we are thankful for faith, friends, and family.
Faith is hard to hold on to at times. In fact, faith can be put to the test and not only you but others see what type of person you are. When tested you have to try to just stand strong no matter what.
After a storm like this you know who your friends are. You know, Those who you can count on through thick and thin. We had some in our pastor and Larry and Cheryl who all mercifully offered to allow us to come to their house after we lost power and water and our house was 59 degrees and spend this winter wear-down with them in a bit safer environment. Friends like Beth who messaged on Facebook just because she cares.
Then you have family like my son Brian and daughter-in-law Jami who offered their home to us until it was safe for us to return home. They both sacrificed time and resources to meet our needs and just let us know they love us. There is also my son Jonathan who kicked it into a higher gear to make sure the porch and ramp was clear of ice and snow fo me to be able to leave safely while sleet and feeezing rain was hitting him in the face. Also he made my vehicle windshield ice resistant the night before the ice storm. And then there was my mom who called to check on us daily even though she was in the same predicament. My cousin Sarah who braved icy roads to get my mom to a safer and warmer place. My stepmom called to check on us and the list goes on and on of people I can thank. But I know the list is just as long for others whose stories I’ve read on Facebook where friends, neighbors, and even strangers came to the aid of others in need.

In short, I feel blessed.
