Good morning, everyone. I hope you and your families made it safely through the storm last night. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone across Southeast Texas as we begin cleaning up and assessing any damage today.

I know how overwhelming and frustrating it can be after a storm—trying to figure out who to call, coordinate repairs, and get life back to normal as quickly as possible. In my own small way, I wanted to provide something that may make that process a little easier.

I’m sharing this list of local vendors and service providers as a resource for anyone who may need help with repairs, cleanup, roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other services.

I truly hope this list helps someone today. Please stay safe, be careful during cleanup, and feel free to share this with anyone who may need it. ❤️

With inventory increasing, buyers have more choices, which means your home needs to make a great impression the moment they walk through the door. Before every showing, make sure your property is truly SHOW READY!

💡 1. LIGHTING
Make sure every light in the home works and replace any burned-out bulbs. Good lighting can completely change how a room feels and helps your home look bright, clean, and welcoming.

❄️ 2. TEMPERATURE
Right now we’re dealing with a heat index around 110°! 🔥 Make sure your home is kept at a comfortable temperature for showings. Buyers should not walk into a house that feels hot, stuffy, or uncomfortable.

🌸 3. SMELL
Your home should smell fresh, clean, and inviting. Avoid anything overpowering — clean and neutral is always best.

🪟 4. BLINDS & CURTAINS
If you want your mini blinds or curtains opened for showings, go ahead and open them before you leave. Most agents will not adjust them. Speaking from experience, I have personally had a seller get very upset with me for trying to open mini blinds during a showing, so don’t assume the showing agent will do it!

⭐ The goal is simple: HAVE YOUR PROPERTY SHOW READY.

Buyers are comparing your home to every other property they see. In a market with increased inventory, the little details can make a BIG difference.
