FYI

We have good news and bad news...first the bad news! No more blackberry ice cream pie til next year! 😢 All the lodges, campgrounds, and restaurants are closed.

Now the good news! The visitor center at Big Meadows (mile 51) will be open through the winter Thursday through Monday, 9:00 to 4:30!! Rangers will be there to answer your questions and help you plan your winter hikes. Two important things to remember: The visitor center is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays AND whenever the central portion of Skyline Drive is closed for ice and snow. For the most up-to-date info call 540-999-3500, option 1, option 1. We will also try to update social media.

We have real Road Warriors--when it has to get back to the store at the end of a long weekend--Nick and Ant(Anthony) are the men for the job!! Best load we have seen in our 51 years!!
and for neighbors that are great Road Angels-Ron and Martha that make the intersection at Bixler's Ferry a safer journey for us all--weedeating and mowing when VDOT doesn't do it often enough. Thanks to them!

Just had a cancellation for our River Lure cabin for June 20 to 24. Three bedroom cabin on the Shenandoah River--on 7acres with 3 other cabins. Hot Tub! Great Views and lots of Stars.
