Alrighty, so what if you’re the only one in your circle pursuing a dream like investing in real estate?

Pursue that dream anyway!

I totally understand — At times you might feel alone, you might feel like giving up, and you might even feel like it’s not worth it. If nobody around you is pursuing the same dream, don’t let that stop you. Let it fuel you! 🔥

The people around you can still support you on your journey even if they aren’t able to see the full picture now. It might take a little bit of patience on both ends, but it will totally be worth it when you can celebrate your wins with the people closest to you. You might even inspire them to join you as a real estate entrepreneur one day 😉.

In the meantime, get connected with other like minded investors ASAP. (Hint: A great place to start is by visiting your local REIA.) Partnering with other real estate investors and learning from others who are already doing what you are pursuing can be one of the most efficient ways to propel you forward. You quit too early...

I was having a conversation with my broker the other day, and we were discussing business goals and accountability. We got to a point where I was describing a marketing strategy that I had stopped implementing because I wasn’t getting the results I expected within the timeframe that I wanted.

As I finished explaining, she calmly checked me and said “Simone, you quit too early.” I had never thought of it that way, but the moment she said that, I immediately realized that she was right. I recognized that I could have pivoted differently and course corrected without completely quitting. Of course, that’s easy to say looking back now, but I can only imagine how different things would look in that area now had I not quit then.

I’ve learned that consistency is key, but more importantly maintaining consistency, especially when you want to give up... That’s when you’ll start to see results. This is particularly true when it comes to real estate investing. You might just be one conversation away from your next deal or even your first deal, but if you quit too early, you’ll never see that happen.

As I jumped into the world of real estate investing, my mindset was probably one of my BIGGEST roadblocks.

I saw that other people were able to jump in and start investing, but I didn’t think it was possible for me. I had no clue where to start, and eventually reading all the books, listening to all the podcasts, taking all the courses became my comfort zone. It became safe for me to just study and soak up a ton of information, but I never took significant action.

Friend, I know it sounds cliche, but the minute you start taking action, that’s when the pieces start to come together. Things start to click and everything that you’ve been studying starts to make sense.

Mindset is a major key when it comes to achieving anything new, and there was a point when I realized that my mindset had been holding me back for so long.

Often times we tell ourselves “I can’t do that,” “I can’t start a business,” I can’t invest in real estate.”

When I learned to choose my mindset and started asking the question “How” instead, that’s when it felt like I unlocked the entrepreneur code.

Instead of saying “I can’t” or “There’s no way I can do that right now” think of the question “How do I?” — “How do I do that? “How do I start a business?” “How do I invest in real estate?”

That simple switch changes your perspective and helps you to think through and look for a solution instead of giving up and defeating yourself before you even try.
