Yesterday I had the pleasure of celebrating the long awaited closing of my long time client friends, Debi & Jan Kostyun! Our history dates back over a decade when I helped them sell their home in Lutz so they could move north to CT to be closer to the grands. We've stayed in touch over the years and I've helped them with other family home purchases here & there. Then, about a year & half ago, after endlessly looking for a second home, they told me they had decided to move back to Florida as full time residents😁 Well, that changed our search parameters from a smaller second home to a much larger & perfectly perfect primary home! We began looking for the ideal property for them (off and on as they visited) but it proved to be challenging in the Siesta Key resale market. After looking at more homes than any of us can remember, they finally found THE ONE - a fully furnished and highly upgraded model home by Neal Signature Homes in Nokomis. That weekend, they went back to CT, listed, and quickly sold their house there and got packing! Last weekend, they made the big drive down to once again become full-time Florida residents. We met at the title company office in the morning, none of us truly believing this day had finally come!! So exciting! After the fastest closing ever, I presented them with a gift I just knew they would enjoy for years to come ....a Margaritaville margarita machine and yeti style margarita cups to enjoy ice cold beverages around their gorgeous new pool & patio with outdoor kitchen. A bittersweet closing today! Our sweet Aunt Deborah & Uncle Jim not only closed on their house of 48 years, they also closed a chapter in their life, leaving Dunedin to begin a new chapter in Balsam, North Carolina to be closer to "the littles" in their lives. I wish them all the best in their new adventures and will always keep them close in my heart. To say it was a pleasure working with them is an understatement! They will surely be missed by us all! #
