August was so incredibly busy for the Winn Family - here’s a few highlights ⬇️

1) The biggest thing was all of the kids started high school! Ella started her senior year (😭) and the twins started their freshman year of high school! It was a big adjustment but they are LOVING high school so much better than middle school!! ✏️

2) The girls started marching band and enjoyed JF‘s first football game! It was amazing and they performed at halftime! It’s so fun to be a part of the band & the fun of the Friday night football games!! 🎺

3) Ella took her SAT’s as she prepares for college decisions for next year! My mama heart wants her to stay nearby but we will see what she decides :)

4) My clients’ adorable condo on SML went pending! 🏡

5) As a huge football fan and an even bigger 49er’s fan, I’m so excited for football to start!! And post season baseball - woo! It’s starting to be the best months for sport fans!! 🏈⚾️

6) Patches and I ended the month with a hike at Smith Mountain Lake State Park! 🐾

September is already off to a busy start - we’re officially in the “ber” months which means all things fall. Where’s the best place to grab a pumpkin spiced latte in the area? ☕️

One of my favorite stops for a drink is 68 Bubble Tea - Lynchburg. It’s located right off of 460 and 29 on Simons Run.

As soon as you walk in their doors, you’re greeted with a smile. This business is family owned and they’re SO sweet. The owner is always very gracious and welcoming. It’s one of those places that you truly feel welcomed and appreciated.

I love the overall environment of this business, too. They have games to play at the tables and even indoor swing chairs. It’s a fun place for families because it’s fun for the kiddos AND adults.

Now, let’s talk about why you go here: the boba tea! It’s really good. If you’ve never tried it before, I definitely recommend that you check out 68 Bubble Tea. They have a lot of delicious boba teas and fruity drinks on their menu to choose from.

If you’ve never been before, my favorite is the coffee milk tea and brown sugar matcha. I’m salivating just thinking about it!

I also love the Lychee Tea and the Taro Ocean - those are both delicious, too!

Whatever you get, you really can’t go wrong. The staff is very helpful and gives wonderful recommendations, too. Try it out and let me know what you think 😃

This summer has been SO busy for the Winn family. Here’s a few highlights from this last month:

1) Ella attended a 3 week French immersion camp at Washington & Lee University. She was required to speak only French the entire time - crazy! She is continuing to become fluent and looking at possibly attending some of her college courses in France!

2) Ben got his braces off. Wooo! He’s especially excited since it happened right before he begins high school.

3) Lacy & Ella started JF Marching Band practice this month and they’re gearing up for the JFHS Football and Marching Band season. I rejoined as a volunteer Marching Band Mama, too!

4) I helped a client launch their Airbnb business in Lynchburg. It’s already booking up, and I’m excited to see the adventure this brings them!

5) Our hibiscus is blooming like crazy! We are enjoying the gorgeous colors each and every day. What can I say? We are plant people!

6) Patches celebrated the 4th of July with a fresh cut and red bandana. She continues to love her treats and walks around Farmington!

August is gearing up to be busy, too. Stay tuned for a little more on that later!

If you are in Forest, check out the Farmers Market from 8 AM to 12 PM every Saturday. Personally, I love to get sourdough bread and there’s a really good pasta company called Scratch Pasta Co. that has lemon basil pasta! Fresh produce and locally made goods...that are good for you? Sign me up!
