I wanted to provide an update regarding the give-away. The Lights Of Lynden switched to a 'donation' entrance only as they were struggling with technical issue. Following the extreme weather prior to Christmas - they decided to close. I was awaiting them to announce their re-opening date (or decision to stay closed) before updating the giveaway.

The Lights Of Lynden is closed. Potentially permanently.

With that said - the 2nd part of our give-away will still have winners announced (the guess for how many lights are at our show, Charlees Lights On Grover).

The life hack... kitchen knife hack...

If you store your knives in a knife block... store them UPSIDE DOWN. This reduces cutting up the block, but more importantly reduces dulling of the blade!

I came up with this a few years back when swapping old for new - the wood worker in me thought about how tool blades dull against varying woods (like pine vs purple heart) - and that aside from a cutting board, the knife block is one of the hardest materials we drag the blade against.

Go live at our place (Charlees Lights) might be as soon as this weekend...?! Seems too soon!

I have heard that setup at Emerald Way Lights is moving along! Cross Country Lights (also on Emerald Way) may be dark only only a static display this year.

Drive Thru Christmas Music Synchronized Light Show! Lights of Lynden at the NWWAF is also underway for their setup.

Of course the Lynden Lighted Parade is on the books for December 3rd.

Monday December 5th, Sumas will be having a Christmas At The Park Celebration where the wings will be on display as well!
