Rain season is almost here in King and Snohomish County. A 20-minute gutter check now beats water in the crawl space later.

Quick fall checklist:
• Clear leaves and debris from gutters and downspouts
• Make sure water drains away from the foundation (not into it)
• Peek at roof valleys and flashing after the first big storm
• Swap HVAC filters and schedule a furnace tune-up before the cold snap

Clogged gutters are one of the most common (and preventable) moisture issues we see around here. Do the boring stuff now, thank yourself in November.
