We may have been radio silent on social media but in real life we have been anything but...
It has been a whirlwind of a couple of months where we were pulling 100 plus hour weeks, sleeping less than 3 hours a night while packing and uprooting our entire lives hours away in those small in-between moments.. To say we got burnt out is the understatement of all understatements. Now that we are finally mostly settled in the new house, the kids are acclimating to their new normal and we are getting the scheduling down pat for taking on jobs back in the Saratoga area while still expanding our presence out here in Lewis County; here is some of what we have accomplished since June. ☺️
🎆 We have had 3 of the 6 kids graduate (Headstart, UPK, and Kindergarten).
🌈 We have tackled some of the biggest and most challenging jobs to date including a beautiful complete yard overhaul from the rock beds, to excavation of front lawn, topsoil, grass seed, trimming, new paver paths, and completely sodding an entire back yard on some of the hottest days of the summer so far 🫠. It took determination, grit, help from some of the best friends that we owe so many thanks to; multiple road trips from our new house back that way, a broken trailer, getting creative with equipment that we had on hand, our parents for helping us juggle kids and a healthy amount of swear words, but we got it done and the customer loved it, raved about all of it and became a friend in the process.
🌠 We took some time to breathe after finalizing that huge job in hopes of getting our bearings again and just regrouping. We quite literally stopped to smell the flowers when we did an evening at a local lavender farm complete with baby animals. We spent much of the following few weeks just saying "yes" to everything that would refill our cups.. ☺️ We took that time to take in some of the most beautiful sunsets, amazing rainbows, and ground-shaking storms. We had our first tornado warning where they actually touched down only a couple miles away and we managed to hit a bear amidst all of our travels. We picked the first two apples off of the trees in our yard that we have been converting into a little orchard and homestead (in all our spare time 😂).
🎇 It didn't take long before we got back to work, only this time kids came along. We did some roof cleanups, some pressure washing and staining while the kids got to lounge in the customer's pool and watch her dogs run around and play. We closed out July with starting a painting project that is scheduled to be completed in a couple of days, and having the kids join us in helping to make another family's day by assembling a massive swingset. August is off to a strong start as our schedules are already filling up quickly and we are having to hit the ground running daily in order to keep up again.
🔥With all that said we have also taken this time to reevaluate some things within the business and we have decided to expand the business a little starting in September; we will be accepting cleaning accounts (Vacation Rentals, Weekly Cleanings, or even Commercial Cleanings if needed) and of course September also means 🍂🍁Fall Cleanups! Stay tuned for more information on both including how to get on the schedule etc later this week when we have the final details worked out.
Have an amazing week!
