I think every time I clean the air bnb I curse this guy for doing the most incompetent work I’ve ever seen in my life. When I clean I see the grout in the shower cracking everywhere and one of the causes are the air gap under the tile due to improper installation. When we ran into septic issues the pump was never even hooked into the box as they just left the wires taped up. Thankfully I was able to connect those. The fireplace logs were replaced after they overheated and the grout is super messy. The overhead stove exhaust was never installed correctly. The interior stairs are done wrong. The little door under the stairs doesn’t close right. Vanity bathroom lights were not installed. The fake exposed beams are not right. The closet door upstairs was not put in right so that fell off. The hardwood floor that the owner requested was not installed but cheap pressed board wood looking floors with huge gaps. There’s not one room that was done right and they painted over joint compound that was not sanded. There’s a ton more but if you want to see it just lmk. I don’t know how he sleeps knowing he scams people, good people that are veterans and active duty Marines who serve our country. It makes me sick! There’s a reason contractors come to Maine, there’s no mandatory requirements of holding professional contractor licenses is just one. The owner has had several handymen correcting these errors and 1 contractor. I myself have done a ton of small jobs. Hopefully he’s gotten better at his craft but I doubt it.
