Bring your unserviceable flags to The Legion Hall by June 13th. Then join us for this special, solemn ceremony.

🇺🇸 **FLAG DAY CEREMONY – JUNE 14th, 2025** 🇺🇸
Join us for a solemn and respectful **Unserviceable Flags Ceremony** on **Saturday, June 14th, 2025 at 2:00 PM** at the **Legion Hall in Mackay, Idaho**.

Hosted by the **American Legion Joe Nowacki Post 16**, this ceremony honors **Flag Day** and the American tradition of retiring worn, faded, and tattered U.S. flags with dignity.

The **American Legion** developed the **official ceremony for disposing of unserviceable flags** in 1937. It remains one of the organization’s most moving and patriotic rituals, symbolizing respect for our flag and the ideals it represents.

📍 Location: Mackay Legion Hall
🕑 Time: 2:00 PM
📅 Date: June 14, 2025 (Flag Day)
🎖️ All community members are welcome.

👉 Please return any unserviceable U.S. flags to the American Legion in Mackay **prior to June 13th, 2025** for inclusion in the ceremony.

~❤️ Who participated in 4H as a youth?!

The Lost Rivers Straight Shooters 4H Club in Butte County is such a fantastic experience!

Last week, my 15 shotgun project youth got to learn proper cleaning of a shotgun from our special guest Don Knapp and a senior club member.

Then we toured all of the range improvements and properly took down and folded the flag.

A special Thanks is perpetually extended to our fearless, miracle working leader, Jeremy Hampton. Without you, the club would not be a reality!🙏🤩
