How has the local real estate market fared amid the Corona Virus? Inventory is still low, buyers are still abundant, and deals are still getting done. Most of these closings started before the meltdown, but the numbers are holding strong. The big question is: how will the numbers hold up through April and May?

Real Estate sales and service businesses have been excluded from Governor Kay Ivey's list of "non-essential businesses" that must close until April 17th due to the Corona Virus.

With the exception of "holding no open houses" the way most Realtors conduct business hasn't changed. Although virtual open houses, video walkthroughs and Facetime previews are now the new norm.

The Alabama Realtors Association and the Huntsville Area Association of Realtors have released guidelines for Realtors. Here's a quick overview of what you can and cannot do to operate within those guidelines.
