Sackett & Brake Survey has purchased the files of Heart of Maine Surveying from Harmony. In the portfolio includes the files from Central Maine Surveying, which dates back over 50 years. We look forward for the opportunity to work with all Heart of Maine partnerships going forward.

History and Surveying go hand in hand..

These 2 monuments were field stones (oblong stones found on site – a common practical method here) that were stood up and carved, and set on the town line between Alna and Dresden in Maine during an 1844 survey of the lines. The one inscribed “1844” was set at the corner of these towns, shared also with Wiscasset, Maine.

These were both recovered during a re-survey in the 1990s, and our work a few years ago. They are in deep woods at the rear of many woodlots, and up against a wildlife preserve, so are well preserved themselves.

Sackett & Brake Survey is looking to hire field personnel to work out of our Madison and Dover-Foxcroft Offices. Must be willing to pass a drug test, travel the state with the occasional overnights, willing to work in the cold, heat, and don't mind mosquito's, black flies and minges. Must have a valid Maine drivers license, the ability to use a computer and navigate Windows 10. Hours per week varies - 30 to 45 hours of week, weather dependent. No application, just drop off your resume to our Madison office.
