Maybe it’s because porches were never just about curb appeal. They were made for morning coffee, afternoon thunderstorms, waving at neighbors, and conversations that lasted longer than planned.

In a world that seems to move faster every day, there’s something special about a front porch that invites you to slow down for a little while.

He may be a little young for a real estate license, but he’s already mastered client meetings, showings, and keeping me company between calls and closings. Around here, summer break looks a lot like tag-along showings, office days with mom, and learning the value of hard work early.

Behind the scenes of real estate isn’t always pretty… but it matters šŸ‘€šŸ‘€

Last week that meant me, scraper in hand, getting a guest house ready to pass final inspection—because when timelines are tight and vendors can’t get there, it falls on the agent.

What people don’t see: shampooing carpets, clearing out homes full of memories, coordinating furniture sales, painting, hauling debris, picking clients up from the airport… and somewhere along the way, apparently training for every trade out there.

At this point, after years of listings and clients leaving behind ā€œjust a few things,ā€ I’ve somehow managed to fill up my own outbuilding and storage unit with the overflow šŸ™ˆ Pretty sure one day my future Realtor is going to have the exact same job of clearing it all back out.

All jokes aside—I’m the agent who makes sure it gets to the finish line, and that it’s done right. Because my clients aren’t just transactions to me—they’re people trusting me with something really important.

This past week included the closing of a beautiful home on 10 acres along with two vacant land properties — and I had the privilege of representing both the buyers and sellers in all three transactions. Even more special, all six parties involved were local clients.
