The media's attention to this song is actually timed well as we ask ourselves what kind of person do I want to be " live and let live" which was the original meaning according to Paul McCartney or "live and let die" in a selfish sense. I was struck by this division yesterday at the Bishop's Farm Market. All of us including workers are wearing gloves and masks while following the markings on floor to keep us mindful of space when all of a sudden this tall imposing man walks in (no gloves or mask) and espouses his right to enter and shop without gear to this young employee who is trying to protect the community of shoppers. I was actually stunned as a quietly watched this man berate this young employee about his rights and then the manager. We need to decide the interpretation we want, who we want to be. Stay safe and as always Don Rankin thank you for caring and giving your time and to keep us informed in a calm thoughtful manner. You are our lighthouse in the storm.

"Live and Let Die" is originally a song written by Paul McCartney. The lyrics refer to a young naive person saying Live and let Live. But after being exposed to more of the world and becoming worn down by it, he says Live and Let Die meaning I'm going to what I want and everyone else can get screwed...

Fun local fact. The subdivision, Heatherwood, in Madison Connecticut has a volunteer social chairperson who facilitates events for the neighborhood such as Octoberfest, Great Gatsby themed party, annual summer block parties. All done voluntarily with no obligation to participate. What a great way to connect if you are transferring into a new community!

In walking distance to the Durham Fair where I got see Foreigner live performing Jukebox Hero. They were awesome!!! Please tell me I am not the only who remembers Foreigner?
