On our last adventure up north, we made a day trip to Eagle River and stumbled upon — such a cool find.

The atmosphere immediately caught our attention, and the bartenders were so friendly and took the time to chat with us. They have a great craft cocktail menu, so of course I had to try one.

Then came the cheese curds. SO good — but the jam sauce they served with them might have been my favorite part. I seriously need that sauce at home.

Alivia and I played shuffleboard on what may have been the longest shuffleboard table I’ve ever seen, there’s a pool table and ping pong in the back, a fun merch area & outdoor seating too.

Definitely one of those places we walked into not knowing what to expect and left thinking, we’ll be back.

These buyers came to us through a past-client referral. They were looking for a home near family in Sun Prairie, and from the beginning, communication was especially important.

With English not being their first language, Jimmer took the time to explain each step, answer questions & make sure they understood what was happening throughout the process. They put a lot of trust in us, and we don’t take that lightly.

That’s now the median age of a first-time homebuyer — the oldest on record.

And here’s another number that may surprise you: the median first-time buyer put 10% down, not 20%.

Homebuying looks a lot different than it did 10, 20 or 30 years ago. Higher home prices, student loans, rent and just plain life have changed the timeline for a lot of people.

So if you’re in your 30s or 40s and haven’t bought your first home yet, you’re certainly not alone.

And if you’ve been waiting because you think you need 20% down, perfect credit or zero debt before you can even start the conversation — that’s worth revisiting.

There are more options than many buyers realize. The first step isn’t having everything figured out. It’s finding out what your options actually are.

Local Favorite 🧡

3 years ago (9/1/23), I walked into barre3 not knowing it would become such a big part of my life.

At the time, I was trying different places because I wanted more accountability than a traditional gym. I was looking for a workout I'd actually stick with.

I found that—and so much more.

Sure, I feel stronger, but it's really the people who keep me coming back. Somehow a workout studio became a community. The instructors know what's going on in my life, some of the people I've met there have become good friends, and Missy, the owner, is always finding ways to make everyone feel appreciated—from special events to fun giveaways.

And all that accountability added up—on April 28, I completed my 500th class! 💪 Pretty proud of that one. And the number keeps climbing—552 and counting!

A big thank you to Missy, the instructors, front desk team, and all the amazing women I've met along the way for making it a place I genuinely look forward to showing up to.

And if you've ever been curious about barre3, come with me! Your first class is FREE, and I'd love to have you join me. 🧡 One of my longtime friends has been coming with me for over a year now and absolutely loves it too!
