What do fashion, creativity, and literacy have in common? The Madison Reading Project's Read(y) to Wear Fashion Show!

We had a great time attending this unique event, where talented teams transformed paper into incredible runway-worthy designs. Beyond the creativity and fun, the event brought the community together to support an important mission: helping ensure children throughout Dane County have access to books and literacy resources.

Events like Read(y) to Wear are a great reminder that raising awareness and funds can be both impactful and inspiring. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening a success and to the Madison Reading Project for the work they do to foster a love of reading in our community.

On Friday, our team had the opportunity to spend some time volunteering at Porchlight 's S. Blair Street location, helping organize donations and learning more about the incredible work they do for individuals and families experiencing housing instability.

As a property management company, it was especially meaningful to see how Porchlight sets residents up for success. From thoughtfully assembled starter kits to essential household donations, every item helps create a stronger foundation as people transition into stable housing.

Thank you to the Porchlight team for welcoming us and giving us a firsthand look at the impact these resources have on the community. We're grateful to support an organization that is making such a difference every day.

JD McCormick Properties had to check out the recently opened Taj Indian Cuisine and Bar at 444 S Park St.

Their staff was so inviting, quick, and helpful for our large group, not to mention the food was AMAZING!! They were very accommodating and had a buffet style lunch set up for us with their most popular dishes and vegetarian options. They were very attentive even when the rest of the dining room was packed. We will definitely be back.

Thank you to the Madison Reading Project, Inc. for making a trip to the JD McCormick Properties office this morning for !

While the crew was out shoveling, our intern, Poppi, was able to dive into our newly gifted book, "Love Wisconsin: Stories From The Place We Call Home" by Megan Monday and Brijetta Hall Waller.

Her newly discovered literacy skills will really expand her work load .. 🤯🤨
