Favorite things Friday! Here's 5 things in my house bringing me joy right now:

1. Vintage Tulip Lamp: FB Marketplace find, I think I paid $20 for it. The base is lighted too and I sometimes have to bang on the table a little bit for one of the lightbulbs to turn on. Someday I might fiddle around with rewiring it, but for now I find it kinda charming.

2. Vintage needlepoint: Atomic Antiques, $35. I love the colors and the detail on the frame and it adds texture to my vintage floral gallery wall.

3. Tulip pillows: Hobby Lobby, $16 each? I was on the hunt for paint supplies and walked past these on a display and honestly they were in my cart before I even looked at the sign. They go with the couch perfectly and repeats the same texture of the needlepoint tulips across the room. They're only about 10", so the scale is perfect is perfect for a smaller couch.

4. Tulip Painting: Painted by Adam's Aunt Bonnie. I will always be sad that Ill never get to meet her, we have at least 4 of her paintings displayed in the house and I love them all.

5. Floral napkins: Cozy Home, $20. I love pretty cloth napkins and these jumped out at me immediately. I love the tulip border and yellow strawberries. The colors are so fun and whimsical and I do love whimsy.

If youre wondering, I'm up for grabbing a coffee and walking around any of these stores ANYTIME!

Welcome to some of my favorite spots in my home. Ive never loved my home the way I do right now, and the biggest thing I've started doing differently was to prioritize how a space FEELS over anything else. I found a space could look nice but if you design just based on trends or copy someone else's space (even if it's beautiful!), it just doesn't always land-at least it didnt for me.

As a recovering perfectionist, I always wanted a space that LOOKED perfect, but it left me feeling like something was missing. I decided that I was going to stop making decisions in my home based on what I thought I SHOULD do, and started making decisions based on what FELT right.

What does that mean for you? No idea. I just know that when I brought in pieces that lit me up, I started finding more joy in my life. When I started getting rid of things that I didn't use or didnt align with who i was, my spaces started feeling easier to live in and maintain. When we visualized amazing ways to use different spaces in our house, the right pieces started appearing and brought those ideas to life.

To be clear, this is absolutely one of those "simple but not easy" concepts. This has taken a LOT of work-and we're just starting! But I absolutely believe that our homes are reflections of who we are, and I promise that putting intention into your space is well worth the effort.

Hi friends! If you're new here, Im Kayleigh. I'm a mom of 2 girls, amature diy-er, and avid gardener who often manages to find myself down the rabbit hole of another project or side quest.

We're slowly turning our house in to a home that FEELS good over looking perfect, so if you're into that plus a smidge of real estate here and there, follow along!
