Monthly Statewide Housing Market Snapshot:
Wisconsin’s housing market remained strong in the first half of 2026. June home sales and median prices were both up nearly 6% from a year ago, while new listings increased almost 5%. While more homes are coming on the market, inventory remains below a balanced level, and affordable homes continue to be in short supply. Homes are selling faster, mortgage rates remain lower than last year, and buyers, especially first-time buyers, face increasing challenges finding homes under $350,000.

Bottom line: More inventory is helping drive sales, but affordability remains a key challenge across Wisconsin’s housing market.
