Home prices have a long track record of going up over time. And that’s why buying a home is generally considered a safe long-term investment.

That certainly doesn’t mean you have to buy now. You should only move when it makes sense, and you plan to live there for a while.

The Possibility of Positive Change:

Some people know me as a Realtor. Some people know me as a Yoga teacher. At first blush, the connection isn’t obvious.

Recently, a student approached me with tears in her eyes. She said she was moved to share her gratitude for my classes because they leave her with a feeling that anything is possible. I too felt moved and grateful. Because this is WHY I do what I do; in Teaching and in Real Estate. I hope to offer people a sense of possibility.

We all get stuck sometimes. We want to take the next step but we don’t know how. And often, this keeps us from initiating a change. In Yoga and in Real Estate, I help people make the first move. Both fields allow me the same opportunity; to partner with people to make positive change possible. Together, we break down a large goal down into a series of achievable steps. I coach, cheerlead and get in the ring with them.

The Sanskrit word yoga means to yoke or join. Yoga is the art of bringing dynamic forces into harmony and bringing equanimity to imbalances, in the body and the mind.

The same concept applies in Real Estate transactions. A joining needs to occur between Buyer and Seller and the gap between their respective interests needs to close. Success in Real Estate is measured by the volume of deals that are put ‘together’ and make it to closing. This requires a skillful ability to balance multiple factors; understanding the unique goals and pain points of the transacting parties and finding a resolution that everyone can celebrate. It is careful work that requires sensitivity, discernment, and practice.

Just like Yoga, Real Estate requires attention, adaptability, revision, and creativity to bridge the gap between where we are and where we want to be, one small step at a time.
