How To Properly Clean Up A Carpet Spill:

ABSORB THE LIQUID IMMEDIATELY:
- Don’t wait when you see a spill. Time is of the essence and by moving quickly you can soak up the liquid before it has a chance to bond with fibers or seep into the backing.

AVOID SCRUBBING OR RUBBING:
- We all do it, our immediate reaction is to rub at a spill as if we’re wiping away marker from a dry-erase board. However, rubbing can cause damage and push the stain pigment even deeper into the fibers. Rather than rubbing, carefully dab or press a cloth to the spill to soak up as much of it as possible.

USE A WHITE CLOTH:
- Colored and patterned cloths contain dye. When they come in contact with a liquid spill, some of that dye could transfer to your carpet. It’s best to err on the side of caution and keep white cotton cloths handy to soak up spills.

The Streets Division provides two rounds of curbside collection for Christmas trees. The first round will begin on January 3, 2022 with the second and final round beginning on January 18, 2022. Collection will be weather dependent. Do not place wreaths, evergreen rope, garlands, and boughs out for tree collection. These belong in the trash. They contain wires or metal that can damage wood chipping equipment.
