Whew… what a week! 🏡❤️

5 homes under contract in the last week! 🙌
A new listing on the books, two listing appointments, and now I’m on my way to the tax office. Because apparently we’re just keeping the momentum going. 😂

And then there’s the less glamorous—but very real—part of taking care of clients.

Some of my clients recently moved 1,000+ miles away and accidentally left a few things behind. I picked them up, and instead of shipping them, I’m adding them to our luggage and delivering them myself when we head to Glacier National Park on vacation. 🏔️

That’s one of the things I love about this business. It’s not always contracts and closings. Sometimes it’s solving the unexpected problems, picking up the things your clients forgot, and doing whatever you can to make things a little easier for them.

Busy. Grateful. A little tired. 😂 And very ready for some mountain air. 🏔️❤️

Friday Real Estate Story 😂
I once had a seller disappear the morning of closing.
And when I say disappear… I mean NOBODY could find her. 😂
The day before closing, we were trying to confirm what time she would be at the title company. She confirmed everything, so we were good to go.
The next day rolls around…
No seller.
Title couldn’t get ahold of her.
I couldn’t get ahold of her.
Now we’re all sitting there thinking, “Ummm… WHAT happened?!”
At this point, my mind starts going to some pretty dark places.
Is she okay? Did something happen? Is she in a ditch somewhere?!
Then I had a thought:
“What if I check the jail rosters?” 😂
So I checked Montgomery County… then Harris County…
And wouldn’t you know it—
THERE SHE WAS.
My missing seller was sitting in the Montgomery County Jail. 🤦‍♀️😂
So now we’re trying to figure out how in the world we’re going to close a real estate transaction when the seller is in jail.
Turns out… you can. 😂
We coordinated everything with the jail and the title company, and somehow, we got that closing done the very next day.
And here’s the part that still makes me laugh…
She used the proceeds from the sale to bail herself out. 😂
She was extremely happy that we got everything worked out—and apparently her biggest question was:
“HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU FIND ME?!”
Let’s just say, being a Realtor occasionally requires skills that were definitely NOT covered in real estate school.
So yes…
I once sold a house for a client who was sitting in jail.
You really can’t make this stuff up. 😂

Local Recommendation 🌮
I tried Birria & Chips for the first time recently, and the fajitas were BOMB. 🤤🔥
Everything was so good, and I’ll definitely be eating there again!
