For months, my morning walks have been my time.
Time to breathe.
To clear my head.
To listen to the birds, the wind in the trees, the deer grazing and ducks darting across the road.
To hear my own thoughts — or drown them out with a good podcast.
It’s been my daily reset. My peace.

But lately… something shifted.
The peace started slipping.
Every sound had my head on a swivel.
I couldn’t catch my breath or settle in.
I changed my route.
Swapped headphones for one earbud. Changed the timing.
Nothing helped.

Until this morning.

This morning, I decided I’d count deer. That’s always been my favorite part of the walk anyway — why not lean into it?

So I did. I walked, counted deer, and listened to a podcast. And something amazing happened:
I stayed present.
I wasn’t checking over my shoulder.
My thoughts didn’t drift to places I didn’t want to go.
I was here. With the deer. With my podcast. With myself.

And by the end of my 3.5 miles, I’d counted 135 deer!

One hundred and thirty-five reminders that maybe I just needed a new way to ground myself.
That maybe my walks can still be mine.

I know it sounds silly - counting deer 🙄, but I don’t care if it’s silly. It WORKED.

Today, I reclaimed my space. My peace.
And honestly? I can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow. 🦌✨

Today was extra special — I had the absolute honor of walking my sweet first-time buyers to the closing table! From our first showing to handing over the keys, it’s been such a joy to be part of this milestone in their journey.

Buying your first home is no small feat, and these two handled it with so much grace, patience, and heart. I couldn’t be more thrilled for them!

It’s been a very busy week, but I’m feeling grateful for it all! 💛

I started by sending out Mother’s Day cards to clients and loved ones. Then I made sure to show some love to our amazing teachers by dropping off goodie bags at our local elementary school for Teacher Appreciation Week. 🍎🎉

Today, I got an early start and hit the ground running with my buyer clients, showing homes on a gorgeous day perfect for house hunting. 🏡☀️

It’s days like these that remind me how lucky I am to do what I love, helping families find their place to call home while supporting my community along the way.
