One of the best things about living in New Smyrna Beach is that a great evening doesn't require a special occasion.

This weekend, I met up with friends at Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grille and was reminded why it's one of my favorite waterfront spots. Between the marina views, beautiful sunset skies, boats coming and going, and good company, it was the perfect way to unwind.

As for the food? The Angus Beef Sliders were packed with flavor, and the Tuna Triangles absolutely lived up to the hype. If you're looking for appetizers to share, you can't go wrong with either.

Sometimes it's not about the destination—it's about slowing down long enough to appreciate where you already are.

One of my favorite parts about living in New Smyrna Beach is that an ordinary weekday can feel like a mini vacation.

This week I stopped by Ocean Breeze and was reminded why it's become such a local favorite. The second-story view offers a perfect overlook of the ocean, the late spring breeze was exactly what I needed, and the Firecracker Shrimp definitely lived up to the hype.

Bonus points because their shrimp is grilled instead of fried—a refreshing change from what you'll find at most places.

Sometimes it's not the big attractions that make you fall in love with a community. It's the little moments: ocean views, good food, salty air, and a place where you can slow down for an hour and appreciate where you live.

This is one of the many reasons I love calling New Smyrna Beach home. 🌊☀️
