Escondido Beach and big waves (for us) going off since yesterday. Not your average day but the evenings are filled with the sound of surf. Maybe Batman and Robin will show up on their boards.

3-D printed habitable structures brings many advantages to residential housing. The testament, here in CA., would be its earthquake and fire-retardant elements and accessibility to our varied terrain. One could see its expeditious benefit in restoration in fire-affected areas for rebuilding.

Europe's largest 3D-printed apartment building has been completed in France. Containing 12 social housing apartments spread across three floors, the project's printing process was carried out in just 34 days.

From the international archives, and Tbilisi, Georgia, comes a fortress-like home garnished with massive iron doors that envelope the front facade. Not meant for a coastal location, the massivity of the doors reflect a level of protection while, at the same time, allow light into the home.

Flanges form an operable armored facade that can open to let in light and breezes.

I've walked through this house during its Broker's Open not long ago. Its a trek to get to along a narrow road. Minimalist in design and on top of the world with amazing views, it will appeal to a special buyer for its solitude. Not the traditional family home.

The geometric residence by Apel Design has big ocean views, a putting green, and a triangular pool.

Sharing a different architectural design not yet seen in the Southland. This primarily brick basket-weave styled home in Brazil creates surreal illumination witihin the home. Some called it brutalist, others penitentiary-like, but nonetheless different.

The indoor/outdoor Brazil residence is elevated slightly on a slab and porous walls enclose a courtyard with a pool.

Somewhat puts the Beverly Hillbillies at a lower class of wannabe's. $400 Million asking price for a very large estate with 39 bedrooms and 59 bathrooms. Wonder if all the toilets were flushed at the same time, would a Tsunami be created?

If you enjoy the outdoors and music, catch a concert at one of many locales in and around LA. Already in swing (pun intended) in some venues such as Union Station, The Getty Center, and LACMA, most are free to enjoy. See ya there.

LACMA, The Huntington, the Getty Center and the Norton Simon Museum all offer opportunities to catch live music performances for free this spring/summer.
