Hailey Bishop snapped this photo on our way home from Billings the other night. I’m not sure who’s place it is, it was just north of the DY, but I loved the scene with the sunset and the people horseback and the cattle pots with their trailers lit and was glad she could get a photo as we drove by.

I stopped on my way to Lewistown yesterday to see
Cassie Jumper, REALTOR at a house in Roy. The house is under contract for sale with a buyer utilizing a VA loan. VA loans can be challenging, and often require a lot of the property itself. Cue Cassie Jumper to the rescue. There is literally nothing she can’t do. And she did it all here to get this house closing ready. Now we are keeping our fingers crossed and holding our breath that she’s checked all the boxes, because she absolutely went above and beyond to get the job done. We hope she is successful and the little town of Roy can welcome a new resident next week!

I came across an article today written in 2024 by Aaron Flint that included a link to this post made by the Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs. I don’t think I’ve seen it before, but I am loving the memories in the comments! I thought it couldn’t hurt to bring it back around in case anyone missed it the first time and would enjoy a trip down memory lane like I did!

After going through all the awesome suggestions and ideas you've shared with us, we're stoked to let you know that this summer, we're bringing an OUTDOOR POOL to our beloved Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs and Resort! 🏊‍♂️✨

We've been blown away by your creativity and enthusiasm, and while we're definitely taking note of all your fantastic ideas for the future, we just couldn't wait to make this one happen right now!

Let's take a trip down memory lane together. Share with us your favorite memories of the old outdoor pool area. Whether it's a legendary slide burn or a sunset swim with friends, we want to hear all about it!

Does anyone else walk into an empty building or house and immediately start planning what they’d do with it? Because I have a plan for this one.

I would love to have a Pilates studio on one side, with some spin bikes and room for group exercise classes. Remember Zumba and Tae Bo? I’d love to have a place to attend those kinds of classes in Malta.

In the center I would love to have a juice or smoothie bar where you could grab something healthy after class or throughout the day.

The third space I haven’t figured out yet. Maybe a massage therapist? Something compatible with the other two spaces, or maybe it could just be rented out to help pay the taxes and insurance.

This commercial building in Malta was entirely remodeled and hasn’t been put to use yet. It has three distinct sections, each with its own exterior entrance. It’s possible for one business to use all three spaces, or multiple businesses to each have their own space.

The cottonwoods along the Milk River are changing fast right now. It wasn’t more than 2 weeks ago that we started to see a few yellow leaves pop up and now we are in full transition to fall. This might be my favorite time of year to get photos in the Milk River Valley.

Sherrill Bishop shared a few pictures today of the sheep that visit her at work on the old Pegasus gold mine site above Landusky/Zortman. They are pretty comfortable there and let her get awfully close for photos!

I took a detour on my way home from Lewistown tonight to see if there were any elk out at Slippery Ann. Even though it was almost too dark to see by the time I got there I’m glad I stopped. There was a good-sized herd close to the road and just a handful of cars. It really is a pretty neat thing to see. I need to make plans to get out there a little earlier in the day before the season ends and make an evening out of it.
