Mono Inn in Lee Vining, California just about a 35 minute drive north of Mammoth Lakes and on the Eastside of Yosemite National Park, is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in the Eastern Sierra

They work closely with Blue Heron Farm in Bishop, CA and other regional farms to craft the menu that changes weekly

One of the best meals I’ve had and I would highly recommend booking a reservation for any special occasion or weekend

Steve Searles—Mammoth bear whisperer and Dan Watson—Mammoth Lakes retired police chief 2010-2014 worked closely in the early 2010s regarding bears and wildlife.

If you were in Mammoth Lakes during that time, how do you remember it?

Has bear knowledge/etiquette decreased over the past decade? If so, how do you think we can make it more common knowledge?

In 2010–2014 Dan Watson the police chief worked closely with Steve Searles

Steve said people worked together to “train” the bears 🐻

Any tips for the Mammoth Gran Fondo ? Did the Mammoth Scenic Loop and didn’t die so that’s good 🚲

This will be my first time doing the Mammoth Grand Fondo (42-miler), and any bicycle race

I typically just commute around Mammoth but the Grand Fondo seems like a good time. I’m not sure if I’ve even gone more than 25 miles on my bike 😅
