I've always wondered about this!

The strange pillar-like formation emerged after Crowley Lake reservoir was completed in 1941: stone columns up to 20 feet tall connected by high arches, as if part of an ancient Moorish temple.

So much snow!!!!

It is official! January 2017 is now the snowiest month on record at Mammoth Mountain. To date, 241 inches (over 20 feet) has fallen in the month of January at Mammoth's Main Lodge, where records are kept.
