Happy Birthday to the U.S Air Force. Established on this day in 1947.

As a veteran, I served our country in the US Air Force as a Security Police Officer, where I was responsible for the safety and security of Priority “A” Nuclear Resources.

My leadership development included supervising a four-man alert fire team and maintaining proficiency on fire team deployment and special weapons utilization.

I was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Training Ribbon, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon with one bronze oak cluster and Outstanding Unit Award.

I'm proud of my time serving in the Air Force and I'm proud of all the courageous Airmen who continue to refine the Air Force mission to Fly Fight and Win. – David A. Moir
