🌲 It’s National Invasive Species Awareness Week (Feb 23–27) 🌲

At Bartlett Tree Experts, protecting tree health is at the core of what we do. In Vermont, Hemlock Woolly Adelgid continues to threaten eastern hemlocks—an essential species for forest and watershed health. Early detection and responsible management help slow its spread.

🔍 What to look for:
HWA appears as small, white, cottony masses on the underside of hemlock twigs where needles attach—not on the needles themselves. Winter is one of the best times to spot infestations, as these woolly masses are easy to see against dark green foliage.
