During our years in real estate, Mary and I have noticed there are a lot of hard-working smaller investors who don’t have the time to effectively manage their properties. Yet, they struggle to find a reliable property management company willing to take on “mom and pop” portfolios or give them the attention they deserve.
Because of this, our property management portfolio grew organically as we stepped up to help our clients and friends. But recently, we decided it was time to really make a change and help fill the gap in the market. Thus, Proper Key was born! 🗝️✨

Cory and Mary Cheramie are a husband and wife realtor duo - The Cheramie Team - and co-owners of their brokerage, RE/MAX Generations. Cory and Mary have a passion for the heritage, art, architecture, and culture of South Louisiana, and they love sharing that passion with their clients in the world’s most unique city, New Orleans.

Cory and Mary both have prior experience in financial analysis, accounting, and audit. Mary is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Louisiana, and real estate has always been a part of her life; she is the third generation of a family that has been heavily involved in the New Orleans real estate market since 1956. This family history inspired the “Generations” in RE/MAX Generations.

Building on their prior experience, Cory and Mary bring an extremely important analytical perspective to all of the real estate transactions that they handle. The Cheramies understand that for many of their clients, the purchase or sale of real estate involves life-changing decisions. Therefore, Cory and Mary are highly skilled in arming their clients will all of the information they need to realize the best possible outcome of those decisions.
