This is why we as inspectors should inspect every crawlspace... some of the things you find, like a bunch of lint on floor leads to a disconnected dryer vent inside the home. This could have been easily missed if you don’t look!

Did a Radon Test for a customer this week and I gently reminded them to keep doors and windows closed for the duration of the test. Came back today this homeowner created note..... Now that’s how we do it! 👏🏻👏🏻

Today was “Construction Consulting” day. Builder up north is doing it right by first sanitizing then applying a microbial inhibitor on all wood surfaces prior to drywall along with air movement and humidity control. Nice to see things done right for a change! 👍

Smokey the Bear says....“Smoke detectors that “chirp” should be tended to and fixed, not removed. With interlinked, dual power units, even if the unit is removed, the electricity is still live. In this case it was able to arc against metal ducting, this could lead to a bigger issue.

The Drone proved to be the “safest way” to inspect this peculiar looking chimney. It almost appeared satisfactory from the ground or even at roof level. The top cap or crown inspection would have been tricky or even dangerous via conventional ways. Technology to the rescue..... and I remained safely on the ground.
