All the ingredients for intense severe storms will be in place by this afternoon across much of the area. Expect initial storms to quickly turn severe. Destructive hail and intense Tornadoes possible early, then Damaging wind and flooding become the focus. Remain weather aware and take safety measures if needed.

Friendly Reminder!
If you are leaving for any period during the winter months, DO NOT turn off your heat. The temperature outside is VERY cold, which will freeze the pipes and cause major damage to your apartment or house. Please leave your thermostat set to at least 55º-60º, no lower.

If you haven't already, you'll want to disconnect your garden hoses! Preventative winter maintenance will help keep pipes from bursting during those cold winter months. ❄️

• Disconnect & drain garden hoses
• If the temperature drops below 20º, keep one or two faucets running slowly at all times.
• Keep the cabinet under the kitchen sink open so warm air can flow around the pipes.
• Call your Landlord immediately if you suspect a pipe has frozen.

Air filters should be replaced every 90 days or even sooner if you suffer from allergies and/or have pets. We recommend checking it at least every month if your systems are running often and/or if you have pets.

Be sure that air vents are clear from debris and nothing is placed against or over the vents to ensure proper air flow.
