🟦JUST SOLD! 🟦Some closings feel extra full circle, and this was one of them. Several years ago, I had the privilege of helping my client buy their very first home — fast forward to 2026 and I had the privilege of helping her sell her very first home, too.

And because real estate likes to keep us humble, we got to experience a first for me along the way. When my seller signed their deed package — the documents that convey ownership at closing — their mortgage was still with their original lender. But in the few short weeks before closing, their mortgage was sold to a new servicer, which meant the payoff process (which can sometimes take several weeks to complete...) couldn’t even be initiated until the day before closing.

And that day wasn’t even a business day😅

It was one of those unique behind-the-scenes hurdles that buyers and sellers don’t always see coming, but both sides handled it like absolute champs. Everyone stayed patient, communicative and focused on getting to the finish line.
