o managing to make the process fun. Each year he has continued to grow his business earning multiple distinctions, including being named to several top-producing agent lists. Having been a successful corporate executive for more than 20 years prior to his career in real estate –-he believes that the common building block of all successful businesses is providing an exceptional customer experience. A fun and exciting homage to the old fashioned musical hits of the 50s & 60s (& some 70s) with exuberant choreography, tuneful score, eye popping costumes, and spot on performances by a cast of 1st rate Broadway veterans like Ann Harada, Alex Brightman, Ana Gasteyer, Sara Chase and more directed by the uber talented Christopher Gattelli. You can’t leave the Nederlander without a smile on your face.

A searing comedy with smart, witty and pithy writing about complicated relationships and co-dependency performed by a 1st rate cast all with credits which are likely familiar. Highly recommend checking it out at the Helen Hayes Theater.

Based on the cult movie, this is the most lavish extravagant production I have seen in a very, very long time backed up by a book about a search for belonging full of family drama and heart. A mix of traditional musical theatre songs (more my speed) coupled with a rock band score (I had difficulty deciphering lyrics), the music services the story well but you won’t be leaving humming any tunes. Overall I had a fun time and was even moved in the final moments.

CATS: JELLICLE BALL is Cats meets Pose and is a big, fun, colorful, loud & joyful party at the Broadhurst Theater. Never have I seen an audience have such shared enthusiastic responses throughout the show with no less than 5 spontaneous standing ovations complete with paper fans and lots of hootin’ & hollerin’.

Showcase of THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING CO-written and directed by my very talented friend DJ Salisbury. Though rooted in the 19th century, the dynamics at play remain strikingly familiar. Today more than ever in my lifetime, power seems to have granted those in power the right to define or “improve” the lives of those in other countries - Imperialism has not vanished - it has evolved. With several beautiful ballads and love songs this new musical has much potential and relevancy. Keep an eye out for further developments.

Saw the marvelous Daniel Radcliffe in the highly acclaimed EVERY BRILLIANT THING - a 70 minute celebration of the many everyday “ordinary” things which bring joy to our lives. Wrapped around the premise that a boy growing up with a suicidal mother develops a long list of “brilliant things” as a coping mechanism for his own depression. Uplifting and charming in the “brilliant” hands of Radcliffe, he interacts with several audience members and allows them to shine in their 2 minutes of fame. A limited engagement at the Hudson Theater.

BURNOUT PARADISE - one of the most bizarre performance pieces in the vein of BLUE MAN GROUP coincidentally at the same theater. 4 performers simultaneously walk/jog on treadmills while performing a long list of tasks from cooking a 3 course dinner, juggling, shaving, origami, duck hunting and more in 4 timed segments all while trying to best their combined distance - or you can get your money back. Never boring but a little anxiety inducing and always chaotic - so recommend being able to handle sensory overload.
