Today's PSA is on the importance of being open and honest with your Realtor.

When we list your house, we develop a marketing and pricing strategy based not only on the market, but also your situation and circumstances. If you aren't honest, especially about something that will inevitably go public, such as divorce or criminal charges, you are creating a bait and switch that sets both you and your Realtor up for failure. While most seasoned Realtors have the ability to pivot and still make things work, the best case is always transparency.
We have a confidentiality clause built into our listing contracts and my husband and sisters will tell you, I follow it. They often don't know who my clients are until I close.

If we're all on the same team, we all win. Why hire a professional if you are going to handicap them with false information that will destroy all leverage when the truth comes to light?

Get your money's worth and ALWAYS be honest with your Realtor!!!!

Fresh off a 36 hour appetizer of summer vacation with my sister where I managed to get three out of four offers accepted and a couple CMAs for possible listings, I'm heading into a holiday week of paper shuffling and finding the right one for that fourth buyer!!!

But first, I must cheer on my Homerunners at a double header tonight!!!
