What does engineering look like beyond the classroom?

Students from Dordt University's Civil Engineering Department got a firsthand look during a tour of the Spencer Splash Pad project. The group met with Bolton & Menk team members Wes Boyer and Luke Vander Horst, as well as Woodruff Construction, to learn more about how projects move from concept to construction.

A great example of infrastructure doing more for a community.

The Erie Wetlands project transformed two decommissioned sanitary lagoons into a constructed wetland that improves stormwater quality while creating a place for residents to walk, learn, and enjoy the outdoors. Shaped by community input, the site features trails, a boardwalk, gathering spaces, and educational opportunities for all ages.

Thank you to the Town of Erie, Colorado - Government and project partners Mundus Bishop, JVA, Pinyon Environmental, Inc., and L4 Construction for bringing this vision to life!

A new roundabout is beginning to take shape at the ND 13 and ND 32 intersection east of Gwinner, North Dakota. 🚧

Concrete is being placed for the center island of the new roundabout as construction continues on this North Dakota Department of Transportation improvement project. Our team is providing construction administration services as the project takes shape and moves one step closer to improving safety and traffic operations for the traveling public!
