Our family would like to extend our deepest and most sincere gratitude to everyone who prayed for, supported, encouraged, and walked alongside our son, Jeffrey Davey, during the past year.
Yesterday, we gathered at Crossview Covenant Church in North Mankato to celebrate Jeffrey's life. To all who attended the visitation and service, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your presence, hugs, prayers, kind words, and shared memories meant more than we can adequately express.
If you were fortunate enough to attend Jeffrey's Celebration of Life service, we hope you experienced not only the sorrow and loss we all feel, but also the love, faith, hope, and joy that Jeffrey brought to so many lives. We hope you left with a renewed reminder that our time on this earth is precious, that none of us knows what tomorrow holds, and that we should cherish each day and each other.
A special thank you to Pastor Steven, Seth Heckman, Bernie Davey, Lane Gravley, Rachel Thompson, Jen Knudsvig, and Kiley Silva for your beautiful tributes, heartfelt stories, memories, music, and words of encouragement. Matt and Naomi Ruyter provided us with the gift of music, it was an amazing day.
To the children who came forward to sing "Jesus Loves Me," thank you. Your sweet voices brought tears to our eyes and reminded us of the simple faith that Jeffrey held so dearly.
The outpouring of love shown to our family has been overwhelming. While our hearts are broken, we are comforted knowing that Jeffrey's life touched so many people and that his faith continues to inspire others.
Thank you for every prayer, every visit, every message, every meal, every act of kindness, and every memory shared. We will carry your love and support with us in the days ahead.
