If you’re not doing these 3 things, you’re not ready to buy a house.
Let’s keep it simple. If you’re a first-time homebuyer, here’s what you must have in place before you even think about making a move:
First—your credit needs to be solid.
If it’s not? Get help. There are professionals out there who specialize in boosting credit scores.
If it is good? Leave it alone. Don’t mess with it. No new credit cards, no big purchases. Just let it sit.
Second—you need cash set aside for your deposit.
Depending on the home price, this could be anywhere from $2,000 to $20,000 or more.
This isn’t optional. You need that money ready when it’s time to go under contract.
Third—you need a real estate agent who knows how to negotiate.
Not just someone to unlock doors, but someone who can guide you, protect your interests, and help you land the right home for your situation.
If you’re missing any one of these three, press pause.
Do the work now so you’re not scrambling later.
