🌸 Spring Into Your Next Move! 🏡

Thinking about buying or selling? Spring isn’t just popular—it’s strategic.

Here’s why NOW is the time to make your move:

✨ More Homes on the Market
Spring brings the highest inventory of the year, giving buyers more options and a better chance to find “the one.”

đź’° Homes Sell for More
Sellers, this is your season! Increased demand often leads to stronger offers and higher sale prices.

⏳ Faster Sales
Homes listed in spring tend to sell quicker because motivated buyers are actively searching before summer.

🏫 Perfect Timing for Families
Buying now means moving in before the new school year starts—huge advantage for families planning ahead.

🌿 Curb Appeal is at Its Peak
Everything looks better in spring! Blooming flowers and green lawns help homes show their absolute best.

⸻

Whether you’re ready to buy your dream home or sell for top dollar, timing matters—and spring is your moment.

📩 Let’s make a plan and get you moving the smart way.

As part of our Black History Month coverage, **The Link** continues to highlight individuals whose dedication is shaping the next generation.

Today, we recognize **Trey McClendon**, co-owner of NxTLvLGYM LLC in Cheraw and a lifelong member of the community. Growing up in Cheraw helped shape who he is, and now he pours that same care and commitment back into the town that raised him. McClendon spends countless hours mentoring youth, building confidence, discipline, and athletic skill—often being the first voice encouraging them to believe in their potential. He does not seek recognition; he serves to ensure every child has the opportunity to rise. His consistency, heart, and investment in young people make him a true local hero.

As part of our Black History Month coverage, The Link continues to honor individuals whose lifelong service has shaped generations within our community.

Today, we recognize Ann Porter, a devoted educator and childcare leader whose impact spans decades. As owner and operator of Stay and Learn Daycare—affectionately known as “Mama Cilla’s”—she created a nurturing and structured environment where children felt safe, valued, and prepared for success. To end our Black History Month coverage, The Link wants to recognize individuals whose lives of service have shaped generations in our community.

Today, we honor William J. Reid of Cheraw, a pillar of Chesterfield County and one of its oldest World War II veterans, at 106 years old. Following his honorable service in the U.S. Army, Reid graduated from Eckels College of Mortuary Science. He returned home to establish Reid’s Funeral Home in 1949, faithfully serving families for more than seven decades until his retirement in 2021. Recognized by the South Carolina General Assembly as the state’s oldest living mortician, his legacy reflects leadership, resilience, and unwavering faith.
