🚨 Heads up, Mansfield! 🚨

Folks — it’s going to snow this weekend.
Could be an inch… could be four feet… could be a dusting… or it could be 70° and sunny ☀️❄️
It’s Ohio. The weather changes fast.

There are a lot of weather models out there right now, and most are pointing toward snow and cold temperatures. As of now, we’re expecting conditions to start Saturday and potentially last through Monday.

Here are some friendly reminders from your Mansfield Fire Department:

• Grab the big scarf — it’s going to be cold out there 🧣
• Stay home if you can — that coffee run can wait
• Drive slow and give yourself plenty of time to stop
• Move over for emergency vehicles and tow trucks 🚑🚒
• Our road crews and plow drivers will be out working hard — they’re the real heroes of the storm. Give them space; they’re much bigger than your vehicle. If you get the chance, thank them. They’re tired, worn out, and still doing an incredible job
• If you’re using alternate heating sources, please use them safely — we’d rather not make an unexpected visit
• Check on elderly neighbors if you can — walk safely, don’t drive if conditions are bad
• Bring pets inside — wind chills will be well below zero 🐾
• Get the sleds out, bundle up, and enjoy the snow if it’s safe 🛷
• Above all else: be safe, take care of each other, and don’t go out unless you have to
