A multi-million-dollar producer from Marion just became the latest member of our company!
Today we welcome Corinne Corbin into our Sluss Realty family!
This incredible agent was essentially working in the industry before she was ever licensed.
When Corinne was just 19, she managed a property for a landlord in Marion.
“That’s really what got me hooked,” she said. “I was showing his rentals, advising him on what to do to make them more appealing. I set up his social media – and I really loved it.”
In March 2021, while 7 months pregnant with her first, Corinne officially obtained her real estate license.
“Honestly, I love, love, love old homes,” she said. “I love architecture. I just love looking at homes, especially older homes, and exploring.”
Couple this with her love for helping and working with people, and real estate was definitely the career she was meant to have.
“My favorite thing is working with first-time homebuyers,” she said. “When I first started, I worked with a lot of first-time homebuyers and seeing their faces when they’d get the keys to their home and all of their excitement – that’s what really kept me going when I started. They’d ask me my opinion on what they should do with their homes, and it’s just very fulfilling. I love getting to be a part of one of the biggest purchases they’ll ever make in their life. It’s such an honor.”
In addition to her knowledge and organization, Corinne said she believes what makes her a great agent is her relatability to her clients.
“I’m super down to earth,” she said. “I’m not judgy or uppity. My clients know I genuinely care about them.”
Corinne grew up in Marion – more specifically Prospect – and was excited to move back into her childhood home, which she is proudly fixing up now and making her own.
“I have so many friends and family here and I love seeing so many of my clients out in public,” she said. “While I do work other areas, the core of my business is definitely in Marion. I love helping people I went to high school with. I love the smalltown feel.”
One of the most special areas for her are the local softball fields, where she played slow pitch for many years.
She also adores the quarry in Marion, where she’s already chomping at the bit to go fishing this spring.
“When it’s nice, we go fishing every other day there,” she said.
She also loves her aquarium and calls herself a “plant enthusiast” caring for more than 40 house plants. She loves spending time with her family, her three dogs, two of which are shelter dogs, embroidery and spending time outdoors.
