I usually get about 10 messages a year from people asking me about becoming a Realtor.

And don’t get me wrong… I LOVE my job. It’s who I am. I can say that with my whole chest, 10 toes down — this is who I was meant to be. 🩵

BUT… the one part of real estate I never anticipated was how freaking hard it is to actually take time off. 😂

While giving birth to BOTH of my children, I was negotiating a multiple-offer situation with Bexley and fighting over possession with Boston. 🤣

I know someone is probably reading this thinking, “Julie… you need better work-life balance.”

And you’re probably right. 😂

But here’s my problem: if someone told me they were going to be MIA during the biggest purchase or biggest sale of my life… no dice.

I have people who cover for me. I have people who help. But in this business, one missed detail or mistake can potentially cost your client thousands of dollars. So walking away completely is HARD for me.

I keep seeing those reels about how you can’t tell if someone is in a toxic relationship or a real estate career because they’re constantly pacing around, talking on the phone, and looking stressed…

Yeah. I relate. 🤣

This past weekend, we went with friends to the Poker Run at Lake Cumberland, Kentucky, and let me tell you… those friends are TROOPERS.

They gave me wireless chargers.
They shared hotspots.
They let me disappear to take calls.
They were willing to kill the boats so I could get a good enough connection. 😂
And I’m pretty sure they heard me say “I’m sorry” approximately 47 times.

Cody, my husband, is used to it. He knows what he signed up for and is always my biggest cheerleader. ❤️

But I definitely felt guilty watching my friends patiently wait while I handled “just one more thing.”

So, all of this is really just a long-winded way of saying…

THANK YOU. 😍

Thank you to my friends and family who understand that this crazy career is a huge part of who I am and who support me even when I’m supposed to be “off.”

And a HUGE thank you to my clients for trusting me, understanding me, and knowing that even when I’m miles away, I’m still working for you. 🩵

Now if you need me, I’ll be somewhere between a boat, a closing, a showing, and a cell phone tower. 😂📱🏡
